Tickets can be purchased through the link on this website. Once payment has been completed, you will receive an email with your event ticket. This must be brought with on the day of the event for entry.

 

By purchasing a ticket through the link you agree to the terms and conditions of use. You also agree to our rules, T&C’s and indemnity.

  • Zambezi Shores festival tickets are non-refundable. Should you no longer be able or willing to attend the festival for any reason you will not be eligible for a refund on your ticket.
  • The ticket holder who will no longer attend the event may at his/her own discretion gift or resell the ticket to another person. You, as the initial ticket holder, must provide a written and signed confirmation letter to the new ticket holder of this arrangement. As the new ticket holder, this written confirmation MUST be bought with the ticket for entry at the festival.
  • By purchasing a Ticket, you automatically consent to being photographed, filmed or otherwise recorded and for the resulting images and/or recordings to used or broadcast by Zambezi Shores or its partners. We may use these images and/or recordings for promotional and/or commercial purposes related to the Festival without any compensation being paid to you.
  • By purchasing a festival ticket, you agree to our Festival Rules, policies and below indemnity. You also agree that these conditions may be changed at our own discretion.
  • No alcohol will be served to any children under the age of 18.
  • Children must be accompanied by a responsible parent/adult at all times.
  • By attending the Zambezi Shores Festival with a person under the age of 18, you expressly agree that their attendance is your responsibility and that you have understood and acknowledged the potential risks associated with attending a festival in a wilderness area.
  • Zambezi Shores Festival, their staff, management, and any associates will not be held liable for any failure by the responsible adult to dutifully take care of the underage person in accordance with the festival rules.

The Zambezi Shores Music Festival takes place in a wilderness area and wild animals may be present on the island. We respectfully request that you be aware of your personal safety at all times and at no time should anyone come within reach of the bank, enter the river or walk outside the confines of the festival area. By attending the Zambezi Shores Festival, you expressly agree that such attendance is at your own risk.

 

Whilst we will be taking all necessary precautions to ensure your safety, by purchasing and attending the Zambezi Shores Music Festival, you absolve Gwabi River Lodge,their staff, management, and any associates of all liabilities whilst attending the festival and/or aboard any of Gwabi’s boats or vehicles for the entire duration of your stay. This indemnification extends as well to any injury caused by wild animals and reptiles.

A uniquely Zambian music experience on the banks of the Zambezi River. Take in the magic of the Zambezi Valley while enjoying some of the best music South African and Zambian talent has to offer.

 

On the 25th transfer to Zambezi Breezers (either in your own vehicle or with the Gwabi bus) where there will be boats ready to take you across to the island. Keep an eye out for our schedule.

 

We will be catering for all your festival needs whilst on the island. There will be multiple bars serving water, cold drinks, draught beer, shooters, cocktails and hard tack / mixers. As well as various food stalls serving up a range of food to keep you going throughout the day.

 

There will be a designated camping area. Accessible and clean toilets. And showers to keep you clean and cool throughout the day. Lots of shade and chill areas for you to sit back, relax and enjoy the show.

 

Enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the valley and the spectacle of the African Sky as you enjoy the evening around a campfire or dancing it up to your favorite tunes.

 

In the morning of the 27th , awake & enjoy a hearty breakfast and much needed coffee to start the day. Pack up and head back to Zambezi Breezers by boat for your transfer back to Gwabi.

This is an outdoor camping festival. Included in your ticket price is the island camping fee for the nights of the 25th anf 26th. Please bring all your own equipment to ensure your comfort for the night – check out our festival information page on what to pack.

 

More of a glamper than camper? Or maybe that spider family has claimed squatter rights... there will be VIP camping options on offer from the various lodges in the area. Please contact Gwabi, Kiambi, Winterthorn or Muchichili directly for more information.

 

The transfers will begin in the morning on Friday to ensure we can get all guests across to the island in good time to enjoy a full day of Zambezi fun. We don’t want you to miss out, so please check for the schedules and make sure you are on-time and ready!

Of course, if after the festival you feel you need another day for some R&R book at your accommodation of choice for another night. Please contact the lodges directly for any bookings you would like to make.

We have listed some important do’s and don’ts. Please keep these in mind at all times to ensure that the festival is enjoyed in the spirit it should be…

 

Do:

  • Bring the family or a friend or two. The more the merrier.
  • Check out our festival information page and come prepared!
  • Book at Gwabi River Lodge or the other various accommodation options in the area for the Friday night. The boats will be doing transfers to the island in the morning and we certainly don’t want you to miss out. Check out the weekend schedule to make sure you are on time.
  • Bring your printed ticket to get your wristband at the entrance of the festival. NO TICKET NO ENTRY.
  • Wear your wristband at all times. Under no circumstances will duplicate tickets or wristbands be issued if lost or damaged. Keep your ticket and wristband safe.
  • HYDRATE. This is the Zambezi Valley, It’s hot, you need plenty of water throughout the day. The bar will have lots of water for sale, so stock up and DO NOT get in the river for any reason, our bar men don’t bite but crocodiles do!
  • Bring cash. There will be ticket books available for purchase that you can use at the bars and food stalls. No cash will be handled by the vendors. There are also no card facilities available at the island.
  • Bring a good attitude. Everyone is there to have a good time.

Don’t:

  • Bring any outside food or drinks (no cooler boxes). All food and drink must be purchased at the festival.
  • Bring glass. You will be provided a branded festival cup to use for any drinks you purchase and bars will have additional plastic cups to serve drinks in.
  • Bring animals
  • Bring any illegal substances
  • Bring drones or professional filming/recording equipment.
  • Conduct any unauthorized vending, solicitation, sampling and/or giveaways at the festival. If you wish to promote your product, please email us at info@zambezishores.com to find out more
  • LITTER. Please use the rubbish bins provided to discard of any waste. We care for our environment and it is a privilege for us to host such a unique event in a wilderness area.
  • Bring any flammable substances or fireworks.
  • Make your own camp fires. There will be one setup in the main area to enjoy for the evening.

 

Right of admission is reserved. The above list is not exhaustive and failure to adhere to rules or orders from festival crew and/or any unruly behavior deemed dangerous to yourself, other festival goers and/or the environment will have you immediately escorted off the island without any refund of your ticket price.


Smoking Policy

 

Smoking is allowed BUT we will not tolerate cigarette butts being discarded anywhere on the island. Use the designated waste areas to dispose of your cigarettes. Please be considerate of other festival goers around you that may not smoke.

 

Smoking also poses a massive fire risk. Please keep a safe distance when smoking in and around the campsite area as tents may be flammable.

This is only a 2-night camping festival please pack smart, there is no need to bring everything you own and the kitchen sink! Leave the washing up to us.

 

Due to space/weight limitations on the boat transfers we are limiting festival goers to 1x hand luggage size bag per person in addition to your tent/mattresses and camping chairs.

 

Check out our list below on what to pack to make sure you are prepared and ready to enjoy the festival.

 

Most importantly you need to bring…

  •  Your ticket for entry. NO TICKET NO ENTRY.
  • Cash. There will be ticket books available for purchase that you can use at the bars and food stalls. No cash will be handled by the vendors. There are also no card facilities available at the island.

●    A tent. Something lightweight and easy to set up. And a lock to keep personal items safe inside.

●    Mattress and bedding. The day will be hot but it may get cool at night.

●    Toiletries including sunscreen lotion and insect repellent. Baby wipes, tissues, hand sanitizer, lip balm, chewing gum and eye drops are all handy too.

●    Any prescribed medications you need. A pain reliever and rehydration solution may be needed in the morning!

●    A change of clothing. Pack a jersey in case of cool weather at night.

●    A swim suit to cool off under the showers (NO Swimming in the river is allowed for obvious reasons).

●    Hat/cap and sunglasses.

●    Any form of footwear. Please wear shoes at all times to avoid thorny situations and possible encounters with the smaller wildlife like scorpions.

●    Towel.

●    Torches and/or lanterns. Plus spare batteries in case.

●    Portable charger if you will need for your phone/camera.

●    Camping chairs.

●    Beach umbrella.

Participating lodges all offer transport options (by bus 12 to 16 seaters) from Lusaka to Chirundu.
